Oct 27 , 2005 - Wilma Damaged Cars

As Florida starts the long road to recovery from Hurricane Wilma many Floridians have damaged cars. There are dozens of cases of cars being crushed by trees and power poles. In once case a single tree crushed 10 cars on Miami Beach. In addition, water damage has destroyed thousands of cars. Many cars were totally submerged in water and are a total loss.

Most of the big car insurance companies have websites, toll free phone numbers, and mobile response units to make it easier for drivers to contact them. Below is a quick guide to contacting your insurance company. Also be aware that many traffic signals are not working, signs are down, and roads are damaged. Drivers in south Florida should not drive unless necessary and be extra careful.
