In the summer of 2005 GM offered big savings on almost every GM vehicle by extending the GM employee discount to the public. That program really delivered big savings ranging from a few thousand dollars to almost ten thousand dollars on expensive models like the Hummer H2.
The red tag sale does mean big savings. We priced out several vehicles here are the savings being advertised by General Motors.
Rendezvous Ultra -- You will save about $4,500 on a 2005 Rendezvous Ultra All Wheel Drive and pay about $35,619. Before the Red Tag Sale you would have paid $39,100.
Buick Park Avenue -- AT $34,248 the Park Avenue is discounted about $7,000
Chevy has several vehicles on sale including the Astro Van, Avalanche, Aveo, Blazer, Malibu, Impala, SSR, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban and more.
The Savings on Chevrolets ranges from a few thousand up to almost ten thousand.
GM Vehicles included in the Red Tag Sales include the Yukon, Sierra, Envoy, Safari, Savanna and Canyon.
From Pontiac the G6 Coupe and Sedan, GTO, Grand Prix, SV6, Torrent, and Vibe are all on sale.
